Our story
Road from Rio Consulting was borne out of frustration. At the lack of global progress on tackling climate change and ecosystem damage thirty years after the excitement and hope on the “Road to Rio”, the road to the first global climate change convention and numerous subsequent agreements, accords, COPs and MOPs.
Over that same thirty years though, we have trained, worked and gained experience in the environmental, legal and business sectors. We have helped numerous businesses reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, reduce their emissions, tackle pollution and reduce waste.
Road from Rio Consulting is here to help businesses who believe their climate and nature promises should be real.
Our team
The team is lead by Tom Bainbridge.
Tom has over 25 years’ experience advising businesses on environmental and energy issues, chairing professional bodies lobbying for better regulation and seeking to protect consumers.
He also set up an e-bike business and is restoring a Portuguese farm using permaculture techniques.
